Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test 2024: The Department of School Education and Literacy issued a notice announcing the cancellation of the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) 2024. This decision comes after several candidates submitted applications seeking amendments to the existing JTET Rules of 2019. In response, the department formed a committee that proposed changes to the rules and recommended the creation of a new framework for the conduct of the JTET. Therefore, it has been decided to cancel the JTET 2024.

New JTET Notification Expected Soon

A new Jharkhand TET notification will be issued once the Department of School Education and Literacy finalizes the revised guidelines. Following the approval and implementation of these updated guidelines, the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) will publish an official JTET notification detailing the revised schedule, eligibility criteria, and application process. All details and guidelines will be communicated in due course through the Council's official channels.

Fee Exemption for Registered Candidates

Candidates who have already paid the Jharkhand TET application fee through the Council's online portal, as per Notification No. 30/2024, will not have to pay it again when the new application process begins. The Council will issue detailed guidelines in this regard shortly. The Jharkhand Academic Council conducts the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) to assess the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in government schools in Jharkhand, from Grades 1 to 8.
