What should candidates do in MAH MCA CET CAP Round I?

Candidates are advised to follow the below steps in MAH MCA CET CAP Round I -

Step 1: Check Seat Allotment Result: Candidates check the allotment result on 01 August 2025 by log-in to the CAP portal (https://mca2025.mahacet.org.in/mca/home).

Step 2: Accept Seat (02-04 August 2025): Candidates check in and accept any allotted seat by using anyone of the three options below -

1. Option A (Auto Freeze): If you receive your first preference, the system will automatically freeze the seat and you can submit the online seat acceptance fee. You will have to forgo the chance to participate in further rounds.
2. Option B (Auto Freeze): If you do not receive your first preference and you wish to keep it, you select freeze, pay the accept the fee online and you will forfeit the next round.
3. Option C (Better Option): If you do not like your allotment and want a better option, you select Do Not Freeze/ Better Option, pay the fee online and you will still be considered in the next round.

Step 3: Report to the Allotted Institute (02-04 Aug 2025): Candidates report to the established institute with the prescribed documents and accept the admission by submitting the documents along with a receipt fee for the payment.

List of Important Documents to Carry:

Candidates must carry from one to two photocopies of the following in addition to the originals -

1. CAP Allotment Letter (download from login)
2. Seat Acceptance Fee Payment Receipt
3. Mark-sheets of 10th & 12th
4. Residence Certificate (if relevant)
5. Caste Certificate & Validity Certificate (if relevant)
6. Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (for OBC/SBC/VJNT if relevant)
7. Income Certificate (for scholarship application)
8. Aadhar Card
9. Nationality Certificate/Birth Certificate
10. Migration Certificate (if relevant)
11. GAP Certificate (if relevant)
12. Other Specified Documents

Compulsory Instructions for all Candidates

1. Seat acceptance is compulsory for admission in CAP Round I.
2. Incorrect or false information provided in the application will lead to denial of admission.
3. The Institute will complete the process to verify documents only when all process is completed and issued the admission acceptance receipt.
4. It is mandatory for candidates to complete the process by reporting to the Institute within the deadline, or their seat will be automatically cancelled.
5. Retain copies of all receipts and forms for reference purposes.
