Maharashtra's First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions took place online, with more than 7.2 lakh students finding seats in rounds one and two.
According to official statistics released by the Education Department, 7,20,666 students have so far confirmed their junior college admission in the state. The admissions are being held across 9,483 junior colleges, and collectively they have 21,37,550 seats available. As many as 14,19,813 students were registered for admissions through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
A total of 5,07,288 students have accepted their admission in the FYJC 1st round. The seat allotment result under CAP and quota admissions for the 2nd round was announced on July 17, 2025, in which a total of 2,51,804 students were allotted. As of the second round, which ended on July 21, 2,15,157 students have accepted their admissions.
Out of these, 1,74,308 students were enrolled through the CAP round, and 40,849 students were admitted under quotas (management quota, in-house quota, and minority quota).
The admissions are being held by the authorities through mahafyjcadmissions.in. For the third round, the candidates had up to July 21 for registration and the new entrants are allowed to submit Part-1 of the application from July 22 to July 23. The students will be permitted to confirm admission from July 26 to 28, 2025.
The School Education and Sports Department has asked the students to check their names on the merit list of their respective colleges and finalise the admission process in time.
