Maharashtra FYJC Admission 2025: In a significant decision for Maharashtra FYJC Admission 2025, the Maharashtra government has allowed minority junior colleges to voluntarily surrender their vacant reserved seats immediately after the first round of admissions. Earlier, seats were available for surrender only after the third round of admissions. The new directive gives more options for junior colleges in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and others to handle seat allocation better.
The changes announced provide additional flexibility. To help put these new rules into practice, the last date to register for Maharashtra FYJC Admission 2025 has been extended from June 3 to June 5, 2025, till 2 pm on 11thadmission.org.in. This extension allows junior colleges to revise details about affiliated schools and helps students and parents to change in-house quota options. It also helps junior colleges in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and other divisions to better manage seat allocation.
As of June 2, 2025, a total of 10,85,851 students have registered for FYJC Class 11 admissions across Maharashtra. Here is the division-wise registration data:
The government has also increased the in-house quota. Currently, schools run by the same educational institution in a district can be brought under 10% in-house quota. This helps students belonging to the same educational group to continue their studies without changing the institution.
