Karnataka MBBS Admissions 2025 Live Updates: Karnataka MBBS admissions for 2025 are based on the NEET UG 2025 results, announced on June 14, 2025, following the National Eligibility/Entrance Test (NEET) held on May 4, 2025. The Karnataka Testing Authority (KEA) oversees centralized counseling for MBBS/BDS seats in government, private, and NRI categories. Applicants had to meet the NEET qualification and state domicile criteria, which can be determined by Karnataka residence, parental academic record, or language eligibility.
This year, the state is offering approximately 12,395 MBBS seats across 71 medical colleges: 3,800 in public colleges, around 6,000 in private institutions, and over 2,500 under deemed and non-resident student (NRI) quotas. Two new public colleges in Ramanagara and Kanakapura have added nearly 250 seats. Orientation is expected to begin in early July and will proceed in several rounds: first with registration and mock allotment, then with round-one seat allocation, followed by round-two, clearance rounds, and unclaimed vacancy rounds until November.
