The Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Department will conduct a total of four rounds of counselling for engineering admissions this year. Vacant seats for the third round on August 16.
Maharashtra Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil said candidates who have not been allotted seats as per their first three or six preferences but have accepted the allotted seat will be eligible to participate in the fourth and final round for upgradation depending on the availability of seats.
Online and offline reporting of candidates selected for the second round will be done between August 12 and 14. The college-wise vacant seats will be given on August 16. Candidates will be allowed to choose their options during the third and fourth rounds.

"Candidates who have been allotted options other than the first three preferences and who have self-withheld their allotment in the second round through their login will have to accept the seat and pay the seat acceptance fee through online mode. Such candidates will not be eligible to participate in the subsequent rounds," officials clarified.
