NCERT has partnered with uEducate Global to digitise all textbooks in CatBook format. This format will have videos, 3D animations, virtual labs and AI tools available for teachers and students. These resources will also be available offline, ensuring accessibility across India. In line with NEP 2020 and the Digital India mission, the project will first begin in select states and then expand across the country.
The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has partnered with uEducate Global Pvt Ltd to make all NCERT books available in a new digital format called CatBook. These books will not only contain text content but also videos, animations and simulations that make learning fun and easy for students.
Teachers will also get AI-powered tools, translators, dictionaries and audiobooks for better teaching. The best part is that these resources can be used offline, benefiting students even in remote areas. The project is in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Digital India Mission, which aim to make education more inclusive, accessible and technology-friendly.

This digital transformation will help over 25 crore students across India. Initially, the project will start as a pilot project in a few states and then expand across the country in the next 18 months.
The partnership agreement was signed at NCERT headquarters in New Delhi. Aman Sharma (Secretary, NCERT) and Manpreet Chaddha (Director, Global Strategic Partnerships, uEducate Global) formalised it in the presence of senior officials.
