The seat resignation window for the first round of NEET 2024 counselling was started by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on 31 August 2024 and the last date for resignation at 6 pm on 3 September 2024. Candidates who have been allotted seats and report in the first round of NEET UG 2024 Counseling on 25th August 2024 can resign, give up or cancel the allotted seats to avoid losing the security deposit.
MCC also announced, “References have been received from candidates who have been allotted seats through government guidelines and now want to vacate their same seats allotted through MCC. Such candidates can resign their Round-1 seat within the period 2 P.M of 31.08.2024 up to 06:00 P.M of 03.09.2024 without forfeiture of Security Deposit after which they will be considered as part of Round-2 and the same rules will apply to them as applicable for Round- 2 of counselling.”
Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to resign from the NEET 2024 counselling Round 1 seats:
Candidates are advised to ensure that their resignation letter is generated online (via the portal provided by MCC) by the selected college, otherwise, the resignation will be considered 'invalid'.
