The total number of toppers in NEET 2024 was 67. After removing grace marks or based on the performance of 813 candidates (who appeared in the NEET 2024 re-test conducted for 1563 candidates who got grace marks) was reduced to 61.

According to the NEET 2024 revised merit list, the maximum toppers are from Rajasthan (four), followed by Maharashtra (three) and Delhi (two). Each has one topper from Bihar, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Chandigarh.

The NEET 2024 merit list and scorecard were re-revised as per the Supreme Court verdict wherein it was stated that the controversial NEET 2024 Physics question had only one correct option instead of two, which was stated by NTA in the NEET 2024 final answer keys. This led to the revoking of the bonus marks and a negative marking of one mark to anyone who had marked any other answer option apart from option number four.
The Supreme Court verdict was delivered on 23 July 2024. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to start in 2024. The NEET counselling process will start soon.
