The NEET PG SC hearing was set for April 8. But the SC Bench didn't discuss the matter due to unexpected events.
The NEET-PG petition will likely be heard today, April 22, 2025. The court was supposed to hear the NEET PG 2024 transparency case on April 8. But it didn't happen due to an unexpected event. The original hearing was set for last September. However, it has been postponed over eight times now. This is due to reasons like government officials being absent and NBE officials missing the hearing dates.
The petition was made by 19 NEET PG students. They were worried about changes to the exam date just before the test. The students also wanted more transparency in the results process. They asked the NBE to reveal the exam questions, answers, and student responses.
The Supreme Court bench, led by Chief Justice Chandrachud and Justices Pardiwala and Misra, did not like the last-minute changes. They told the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and the government to explain themselves. But when the case was heard again on September 30, no one from the government showed up, so the court had to postpone the petition.
NEET-PG students said in their petition to the Supreme Court that the NEET PG exam had two shifts. They also said the normalization process happened three days before the exam. This had a bad effect on the students.
Besides, students across the country are asking for NEET PG 2025 to be in one session. Multiple sessions can make the exam harder or have different questions. Students want the exam to be fair for everyone.
