NEET UG Counselling 2024 is likely to start on 24 July 2024 at mcc.nic.in. MCC will release NEET UG 2024 counselling dates after the Supreme Court hearing scheduled for Monday.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is likely to start counselling for NEET UG 2024 on 24 July 2024. Earlier it was planned to conduct counselling for the NEET-UG authorized exam from 6 July 2024. However, the committee has not shared the counselling dates of NEET UG 2024 amidst the NEET UG paper leak on the official website. The Supreme Court will hold the next hearing of the NEET UG dispute on July 22, 2024.

What is MCC NEET Counselling 2024?

MCC is the counselling conducting body for 15% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats in MBBS, BDS and BSc nursing programs. MCC is responsible for NEET 2024 counselling for 1,09,170 MBBS, 27,868 BDS and 1,000 BSc Nursing posts across India. Besides, MCC also conducts admissions for UG medical and nursing courses in 100% seats in deemed universities, central universities, AFMC, IP University, AIIMS, JIPMER, DU, AMU and BHU. NEET UG Counseling 2024 will be tentatively conducted in four rounds of counselling followed by scattered rounds.

Reservation Policy for 15% AIQ Seats in NEET Counselling 2024

NEET UG counselling 2024 has a reservation policy for the 15% AIQ seats. As per the policy, 27% of seats, out of 15% AIQ seats, are reserved for OBC category candidates. Followed by 15% for SC, 10% for EWS, 7.5% for ST, and 5% for PwD candidates.
