The National Institute of Design is all set to conduct the NID DAT 2026 entrance exam for UG and PG programs today, December 21, 2025. The exam will be conducted offline at NID test centers. The exam will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The reporting time is 8:30 AM, and the gates will close at 9:30 AM. Students must bring their NID DAT Prelims admit card to appear for the exam.
Candidates must bring any one valid original photo ID proof to the examination center for verification, such as (i) Voter ID card, (ii) PAN card, (iii) Driving License, (iv) Student ID issued by the current school/college, (v) Passport, (vi) Aadhaar card, etc.
If candidates do not possess any of these photo ID proofs, they must get both Part “A” and Part “B” of the NID DAT admit card attested by their current school/college principal or a gazetted officer.
Digital copies of the NID DAT admit card will not be accepted. You must bring a hard copy of the admit card.

The NID Design Aptitude Test 2026 will be conducted in two stages:
Stage 1: Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims
Stage 2: Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Mains
The NID DAT 2026 preliminary exam will be conducted in 17 cities across India. This information will be provided on the NID DAT admit card. These cities are Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jorhat, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, and Patna.
