National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) registration last date of 2024 has been extended until October 31, 2024, for students willing to apply for the Central Sector Pre-Matric scheme online at its official website.
The Ministry of Education has extended the NMMSS registration 2024 last date on the official website. Students wanting to apply for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme can apply for the session 2024-25. The NMMSS 2024 registration link is activated at scholarships.gov.in. Students can apply for the Central Sector Pre-Matric scheme now can apply until October 31, 2024. The National Scholarship Portal is open for submission of applications by students where students first have to complete the One Time Registration (OTR) on the NSP portal. Next, they have to apply for the scholarship if they get chosen.
The NMMSS application Criteria require students to clear Class 9 from a recognized board of education which further can be renewed through Class 10 and 12 provided the student meets academic performance criteria. However, the scholarship is exclusive to students attending State Government, Government-assisted, or local body schools.
The National Scholarship Scheme offers fresh scholarships for one lakh students qualifying for the scholarship conducted by the state/union territory. The scheme is applicable where the amount stands at INR 12000 per year per student. The authorities have received over 84,000 new and 1,50,000+ renewal applications from the students. The scholarship amount is disbursed directly into the bank accounts of selected students by electronic transfer via the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) following DBT mode.
