NEW DELHI: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has commenced the National Rural Talent Scholarship (NRTS) Examination. Heads of the institutions will be able to fill up the NRTS 2024 registration form by visiting the official website. There is no restriction on the number of students who can appear for the NRTS examination.
Selected students will receive Rs. 250 per month for 24 months, provided they continue their studies at the secondary level, that is Class 9 and 10, with satisfactory academic performance.
As per the official notice, the head of the institution is the login authority for candidate registration. They will use their school code as their User ID and the previously used password to log in. New schools, however, can log in using their school code and the default password- school@123. The NRTS 2024 registration deadline is September 20. The NRTS 2024 exam fee is Rs 60 per candidate.
Students of a school recognized by the Government of Odisha or who have Passed a Certificate from the Government of Odisha who have passed 8th standard and are currently in 9th standard will appear in the NRTS 2024 examination. However, students from schools not pursuing BSE, Odisha curriculum are not eligible for this NRTS scholarship.

Eligible students are selected for the NRTS scholarship through a written test conducted by BSE, Odisha. The NRTS exam covers subjects such as MIL, Mathematics, General Science and Social Science with questions taken from the 8th-grade syllabus. It is an essay in four parts, one for each program. Each section carries 25 marks, totaling 100 marks.
The exam has many questions and students write their answers on the OMR sheet by shading the correct option from the four options. In addition, the input control is responsible for the correct selection of the MIL program during electronic registration. A student's response will be evaluated based on the grade for the selected MIL program.
