The NEET 2025 exam will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, from 2 pm to 5 pm. The exam will be held in 566 cities across India and abroad. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), NEET 2025 will be a paper-and-pencil-based examination for admission to MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing and other allied medical courses.

NEET 2025 Exam Day Guidelines - Prohibited Items

Students will be checked with a metal detector before entering the exam hall. You must not carry any of the following items on NEET 2025 Exam Day:

  1. Textbooks, notes, printed or written papers, pieces of paper or any study material.
  2. Geometry box, calculator, scale, pen drive, writing pad, log table, etc.
  3. Any electronic devices like mobile phones, Bluetooth, smartwatches, cameras or scanners.
  4. Any metal items like wallets, goggles, handbags, belts, hats or jewellery.
  5. Food items, packed or opened, and water bottles.
  6. Any object that has a hidden small camera, microphone, or other cheating device

You will not be given any space to keep your luggage at the examination centre. So, carry only the permitted items. It is very important to reach the NEET 2025 exam centre on time. NEET 2025 Exam Day Guidelines - Dress Code

NTA has shared a dress code to make checking easy and fair for all students. Everyone must wear light coloured half-sleeved clothes. No full sleeves permitted.

  1. Students must wear only slippers or sandals. Shoes are not allowed as they can be used to hide cheating tools. Clothing with large pockets, badges or buttons is also not allowed.
  2. Both girls and boys must follow the same simple dress code. If you wear something different because of your religious customs, you must inform NTA while filling out your form under the “Customary Dress” option. Such students must reach the centre one hour before the usual reporting time.
  3. Also, NTA uses smart technology and AI to prevent duplication, so it is important to follow the rules properly.
NEET 2025 Rules and Regulations - Items to Carry in Examination Hall

Here is a list of items you should bring with you on the NEET 2025 exam day:

  1. The NEET 2025 admit card with a passport-size photo already pasted on it.
  2. A passport-size photo to paste on the attendance sheet.
  3. A postcard-sized photo to be attached to the proforma, downloaded along with the admit card.
  4. Any valid photo identity proof such as Aadhaar card, voter ID, driving license, passport or ration card.
  5. A small bottle of hand sanitiser (50 ml).
  6. A clean, transparent water bottle with no labels or stickers on it.
  7. Flip-flops or sandals (not shoes).

Make sure that whatever you are carrying complies with the rules. If you bring something that is not allowed, it may be confiscated, and you may also be barred from the exam.

NEET 2025 Exam Day Guidelines - Important Instructions

All students need to follow the NEET exam day guidelines carefully to avoid any problems during the exam.

  1. Students should reach the examination centre before the last entry time.
  2. The NTA has laid down clear rules for the exam day. These include dress codes, reporting times and lists of permitted and prohibited items. Make sure you read and understand these NEET Exam Day Guidelines 2025 before the exam.
  3. NEET exam day guidelines strictly state that no student should talk to any other student during the exam. If you need assistance, raise your hand and just talk to the inspector.
  4. You will be required to print your fingerprint on the attendance sheet. This is done to match your identification with your documents and admit card.
  5. You do not need to bring a pen. A black or blue ballpoint pen will be provided to you by the examination centre. Only this pen should be used to fill the OMR sheet.
  6. Make sure that the code on your question paper matches the code printed on your OMR answer sheet.
