SSC CGL 2025 Begins Today: 28 Lakh Candidates to Appear Across 129 Cities, Check Exam Guidelines

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam 2025 Begins

Staff Selection Commission is conducting the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam from today, September 12. The CBT exam will be conducted in multiple shifts at 260 centres in 129 cities till September 26, 2025. According to the commission, 28.14 lakh candidates have registered and are expected to appear for the SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 exam. Around 93% of the candidates have got one of the three cities of their first choice.

For the remaining 7%, SSC has allotted nearby centres. This time, the commission has made some changes to conduct the CGL exam without any technical glitches. However, candidates will know about it only after the conduct of SSC CGL Tier 1 exam.

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam 2025 Guidelines & What Candidates Should Do?

To avoid any problem, candidates are advised to check the SSC CGL 2025 exam guidelines given below:

1. Candidates must download the SSC CGL admit card and bring any one photo identity card with them.
2. Also, Aadhaar verification is mandatory.
3. They are advised to plan their travel in advance.
4. They must reach the SSC CGL exam center early. Latecomers will not be allowed entry.
5. Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices or any other electronic devices are not allowed.
6. Candidates are advised to follow the instructions given by the invigilators.
7. The Staff Selection Commission has issued an advisory to the candidates to avoid any kind of malpractice during the examination. Disciplinary action will be taken if found guilty of copying, cheating or using unfair means. Also, candidates cannot discuss or disclose the exam questions outside the examination venue.
