TANCET 2024 Ranks Allotted

DTE, Chennai allots the ranks based on the marks obtained in the TANCET qualifying examination. TANCET scores are normalized to allot percentage scores to each candidate. The TANCET score or rank is a TANCET merit for all test takers. The percentage score helps to determine the marks in TANCET. Community ranking is based on the TANCET test taker's score among candidates from his community.

The candidate with the highest percentage score will be given the first rank based on TANCET merit or TANCET rank list. Therefore, the second highest scorer will be allotted rank #2 and so on. 

TANCET 2024: Tie-Breaking Criteria

In case two or more candidates face a tie, DTE follows the below-mentioned process to resolve the same:

1. Candidates with a higher average percentage of marks from the first semester/year to N-1 semester/year for the degree, where N is the total number of semesters/years of the qualifying exam.
2. The older candidate as per the date of birth mentioned in the SSLC certificate will be preferred.
