In a recent development, the Health Ministry has made adjustments to the qualifying criteria for NEET PG 2023, initially setting it to 'zero.' Now, they have also revised the NEET MDS cutoff scores. Specifically, the minimum qualifying scores for MDS have been lowered to 167 from 272 for candidates in the general category.
As officially stated by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the qualifying marks for NEET MDS 2023 have been set at 149 for unreserved PwBD category candidates. Additionally, the cutoff has been adjusted to 125 for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories.
It's important for candidates to be aware that the modified NEET MDS Cutoff 2023 criteria will not impact the NEET MDS Result 2023, which was announced on March 10, 2023. A formal notification regarding this matter has been issued to all applicants and can be accessed on the NBEMS website at natboard.edu.in.

The official notification regarding these changes states, "The NEET-MDS 2023 results were announced on March 10, 2023. As per the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare's letter No. V. 12025/14/2023-DE dated September 21, 2023, the minimum qualifying percentiles have been reduced [in accordance with the 2nd Proviso in clause 7 (1) of DCI’s Master of Dental Surgery Course (1st Amendment) Regulations, 2018] for NEET-MDS 2023."
Previously, the NEET MDS 2023 examination took place on March 1, 2023, for admission to various Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) courses for the 2023-24 admission session. Seats in MDS colleges across India are allocated based on candidates' scores on the entrance test, seat availability, and other relevant factors.
