The UGC has also listed universities from Manipur, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Karnataka, Assam, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has declared 37 government and private universities as defaulters for non-compliance with statutory public disclosure norms. These universities have neither uploaded the required details under Section 13 nor shared other university-related information, such as curriculum and fees, as required by the mandatory public self-disclosure documents.
The UGC notice states that despite repeated communications, including emails, formal notices, and meetings, these 37 institutions have not complied with the regulations.
Under UGC regulations, universities are required to display comprehensive information related to curriculum, faculty, administration, infrastructure, fee structure, etc., on their homepages without any login or registration requirement. University websites must also provide easy access to this information.
