IES 2025 Exam Analysis LIVE: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) successfully conducted the ESE/IES 2025 Preliminary Exam on June 8, 2025, in two shifts. The preliminary is the first stage of the three-tier selection process. The first shift began at 9:30 a.m. and the second at 2:00 p.m. The Commission issued the admit card for IES 2025 on May 28, 2025. The UPSC IES selection process consists of three stages: Preliminary, Main, and Personality Test. The Preliminary Examination consists of two objective tests: Paper I (General Studies and Engineering Aptitude) of 2 hours and 200 points, and Paper II (Engineering - CE/ME/EE/ECE) of 3 hours and 300 points.
