WBJEE Eligibility Criteria: What are the domicile requirements for admission?

Before registering for WBJEE, candidates should check the official eligibility criteria. It is mandatory for candidates to fulfill the WBJEE 2026 eligibility criteria; otherwise, their admission may be cancelled. The WBJEEB will release the official examination and admission criteria online through the WBJEE 2026 information brochure.

Since fulfilling domicile requirements is necessary for admission under the Home State quota seats, the criteria for being eligible as a domicile candidate of West Bengal are given below:

The candidate must have been residing in West Bengal continuously for at least 10 years as of December 31, 2025. OR

Their parents must be permanent residents of West Bengal and have a permanent residential address within the state.

According to their domicile eligibility, candidates must submit a proforma signed by the competent authorities. During counseling, if the proforma is not submitted, their admission under the home quota seats may be canceled.
