Merit-Based
30% for all male students enrolled in any program and having more than 80% marks in their qualifying examination 20% for all male students enrolled in any program and having marks in the range of 70-80% in their qualifying examination. All female students having more than 70% marks in their qualifying examination will be entitled to a 30% scholarship. However, if a girl student gets marks between 60%-70%, she will get 20% scholarship.

BIT G. P. Birla Scholarship Scheme: The "BIT G. P. Birla Scholarship" program has been established to reward deserving students and make sure that they are not prevented from pursuing a BIT degree due to financial constraints. The entire sum of the scholarships will be Rs 2.10 crores annually.
BIT GP Birla Scholarship: The BIT GP Birla Scholarship will be provided to meritorious students solely based on their academic performance in MO 2021 without any consideration of their family income.
BIT GP Birla Assistantship BIT GP Birla Assistantship: This scholarship will be provided to needy meritorious students based on merit cum means. The academic performance in MO 2021 and the family income will be considered for this category.
BIT GP Birla Assistantship on Compassionate Grounds: A very limited number of assistantships may be provided to students on compassionate grounds.
BIT GP Birla Assistantship for Staff Wards: BIT GP Birla Assistantship will be provided to the staff wards who are studying in various programs at BIT Mesra including its Off Campuses.
Merit-cum-means Scholarship Scheme: The amount of the scholarship awarded to qualified students will be dependent on both their achievement in the previous semester and the total annual income of their parents. A gazetted officer not below the level of Circle Officer must issue the income certificate for the parents. The number of scholarships awarded in this category will be inversely correlated with the overall enrollment in each program.
The sudden demise of an earning member of the family: Students who experience financial difficulty due to the sudden and untimely death of the family's only wage earner will have their tuition fees waived by the Institute at 100% for the current semester, and a scholarship of up to 75% may be available in subsequent semesters, depending on the student's financial situation, need, and overall performance in their discipline.
