APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University offers B.Tech programs under 11 specializations for which admissions are based on the KEAM entrance examination conducted by CEE-Kerala. The duration of the course is 4 years.
APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University Aspirants who wish to join the B.Tech program are required to complete their 10+2 board examination with PCM from a recognized institute. APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University offers a B.Arch Program under its undergraduate program for which admissions are based on an entrance examination which is conducted by the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture which is a body of the Council of Architecture, New Delhi in India.
APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University Pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & English from a recognized Board, with a minimum of 50 % marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (individually) and also 50 % aggregate marks or equivalent, of the 10+2 level examination. Passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Admissions into the B.Arch program is based on the NATA entrance examination conducted by the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture.
APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University offers (BHMCT) for 4 years. The program is an undergraduate vocational program that provides professional training to students in hospitality and new inventions in catering technology.
Aspirants seeking admission to a 3-year full-time Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology [BHMCT] must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board.
The institute offers admission based on merit. The university will then declare the result and release a merit list of shortlisted candidates.
The university offers M.Tech programs under 11 specializations for which admissions are based on the GATE entrance examination which is followed by a personal interview. Candidates are also required to have at least 55% marks in their graduation.

The institute offers an MBA program under 4 specializations i.e. Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, and Marketing. Admission to this program is based on a CAT score followed by a Personal Interview.
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a Recognized University with not less than 50% marks (or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 5.5 in the 0-10 scale grading system) in the aggregate. However, this prescribed minimum mark shall be 45% (CGPA of at least 5.0 in the 0-10 scale grading system) in the case of SC/ST. A candidate must have appeared in CAT/ CMAT / MAT with a minimum cutoff of 50 percentile to be eligible for the program
The institute offers an MCA program as a PG course in full-time regular mode for 2 years. The program imparts theory and practical knowledge of the various aspects of computer applications. Selection to the MCA program is based on the Kerala CEE exam followed by an interview.
The candidates should have a Bachelor's degree with 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA of full-time 3 years duration from a recognized University with Mathematics / Statistics / Business Maths as one of the subjects in any one semester/year.

The institute offers the M.Plan Program and M.Arch Program based on merit secured in the qualifying examination. The duration of the program is 2 years.
The students must hold a B.Arch degree in the relevant field with at least an 8.0 GPA.5% relaxation is given to students belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories. The students must apply and appear for the GATE exam and hold a valid score
Admission is based on the marks obtained in GATE. Candidates will be offered seats on a first come first basis to the shortlisted applicants.
The institute offers PhD programs under Full-time, External Part-time, and Part-time registrations. The university reserves 40% of seats for the SC/ST/OBC(Non-Creamy Layers)/Differently-abled category candidates. A relaxation of 5% is given to the quota category students.
Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology, Architecture, or a master’s degree by research in Engineering/Technology with a minimum CGPA* of 6.5.Master’s degree in Basic Sciences or Mathematics with a minimum CGPA* of 6.5.Master’s degree in Computer Applications with a minimum CGPA* of 6.5. Quota category students with master's degrees can apply for the Ph.D. program with a minimum CGPA of 5.5. External Part-Time working with the KTU-approved institutes are eligible to apply for the Ph.D. program.
The selection shall be through discipline-wise common written tests and/or personal interviews as decided by the University from time to time. Selection Of the candidate will be provisional until the final approval by the University. AICTE QIP/NDF scholars and candidates with CSIR /UGC JRF fellowship are exempted from appearing for the test and interview. Such candidates can avail admission in the odd or even semester.
Candidates need to visit the official website of the CEE Kerala website for admission. To obtain the application forms and prospectus, students need to visit selected Post Offices in Kerala and outside the State upon submitting the fee through cash. The application fee can also be paid through Demand Draft (DD) in favor of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram or via DD.
Candidates will have to send the fee to any branch of the State Bank of Travancore using the Bank Challan which is generated along with the online application printout. Students from outside Kerala need to submit the fee through DD in favor of The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
