The Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences was founded in 2003. The institution is located on the campus of Pariyaram Medical College. The college offers full-time B.Pharma and M.Pharm courses. Admission to its courses is based on candidates passing the KEAM exam. For admission to B.Pharm courses, a candidate must have passed 10 points from two recognized subjects with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Mathematics / Biotechnology / Computer Science. Candidate for M. Pharm courses must have passed B. Medical degree from Kerala University of Health Sciences or an equivalent degree from any other university recognized by KUHS with a minimum of 55% marks. The university also has its investment cell. Some of the leading healthcare companies like Ranbaxy, Zydus Cadila, Ipca, etc have collaborated with the college to recruit students.
