Acharya Jawadekar College of Education had been established by Shri. Mouni Vidyapeeth in 1956, Under the auspices presidentship of late Dr.V.T.Patil a renowned scholar and a great politician accompanied by the visionary vision of Padmashree Dr. J.P. Naik a great educationalist of international repute, the secretary of Indian Education Commission 1964 –1966 an adviser to Central Govt., Chief executive to ICSSR, Member of NCERT and consultant to UNESCO for Universal Elementary Education in Asia.

Admission to the B.Ed. course is given as per the latest rules and regulations of Govt. of Maharashtra i.e. CET based centralized admissions based on CET score and academic score of the candidate.
