Acharya Nagarjuna University was built in 1976 and is placed between Vijayawada and Guntur on Kolkata - Chennai National Highway (NH 5). The college was inaugurated on the eleventh of September 1976 with the aid of using the previous President of India, Shri Fakruddin Ali Ahmed, and celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 2001.
