ASET began with safety programs in 2016 and has since grown into a large institution with a diverse range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and certificate programs. It is viewed as one of Tamilnadu’s most esteemed colleges for safety and logistics courses.

Courses Offered

Residential Accommodations:

ASET has separate hostels for students. Most students share a room with their peers. This provides them with an opportunity to develop closer bonds of friendship and also serves to further enhance their social skills. Rules have been framed, keeping in mind the local culture and traditions, to guide and help students to maintain a standard of impeccable conduct. Therefore, while residents enjoy maximum freedom, it is ensured that this is always within the framework of standard guidelines and procedures. This helps to create an atmosphere of amity and peaceful co-existence. Several hostel activities are organized in an open-air of camaraderie, which brings out the best in students and also forms a memorable part of their lives.

Library:

A library is the delivery room for the birth of ideas, a place where history comes to life

•All students are members of the library
•The library functions from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm on all working days
•Each registered member is eligible to avail of the prescribed maximum number of books and duration
•Members can borrow Non-Book Material on request and it should be returned within three days including holidays
•Books borrowed must be returned on the expiry of the due date or they must be renewed failing which Rs1/- will be charged as a fine from the defaulters per day/book
•All the members should show his/her bar-coded identity card at the counter while borrowing the books. No books will be issued without an ID card under any circumstances
•All are prohibited from sub-lending or transferring the books
•Members should not alter the arrangement of books on the shelves
•Books bank collections are only for the use of SC/ST students
•All the library books must be returned to the library soon after the university examinations and for final year students before collecting their hall ticket

Personal protective equipment lab:

ASET have been owning all kinds of industrial-based PPE in our lab. Because personal protective equipment is having the main role in the safety sector, for reason only we have given more importance to PPE Lab. The large PPE Room / Lab is provided for protection against Hazards, Adequate training is given to the students to meet the hazards and risk management. Our modern lab contains basic to advance PPE for specific tasks such as disposable clothing for working with chemicals, radiation hazards, welding, and painting. Examples include lead aprons for x-ray protection; sleeve protectors, aprons, and coveralls when using chemicals; leather jackets, trousers and spats for welding; thermal and cold protective clothing for work net Safety equipment. While they are studying they got more knowledge in handling advanced and modern equipment. It will help future organizations demonstrate their labour and employee. PPE can be considered in the following categories, based on the type of protection afforded by the equipment.

Class Room:

“Teachers open the door, but you must enter by yourself” Well-furnished, pollution-free, airy classrooms for the students facilitate better learning. The classrooms are equipped with Smart Board, e-learning ware and audio-visual teaching aids. Industry-standard teaching areas at our college. We give you a realistic working environment where you can develop your skills and get ready for the working world. The classes are conducted in separate halls for every department wise. These enhance the teaching and learning environment by allowing Faculty, Staff, and Students to incorporate various types of media into the classroom. Scheduling of the classroom facilities is coordinated through the Office of the ASET- Academic Department.

Computer Lab:

classrooms are designed to provide a teaching environment that develops specific business software expertise. In this classroom, instructors can work with students to help them master the technical skills needed in their particular field, as well as learn how software assists in information gathering, analysis, and organization of material for presentation and effective decision-making.

The placement cell of ASET College of Fire & Safety Engineering has taken upon itself the onerous yet fulfilling task of assisting the students in bettering their career prospects by providing them with need-based and result-oriented training programmes that help them achieve their needs. This process is engaged through modern training facilities and innovative methodology which work at satisfying the objective of providing career guidance to students, coordination with prospective external agencies/industries/companies and suitably enriching the experience on both sides. The Placement Cell is headed by a committee that exerts itself to maintain the high level of interaction enjoyed by the companies with the students, thereby helping the latter to develop successful job strategies and career-wise decision-making and other skills commensurate with the expectations of the industry. A good collection of reference books and pertinent articles are available for understanding the scope of operations better. The members in charge are available on call to respond to students? questions and concerns including advice on placement procedures, help with preparation of applications, curriculum vitae and reference letters etc.
