The minimum eligibility criteria are 10 and +2 with a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry with one of the other subjects Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics put together from the recognized state board.
• The candidates who have done HSC from Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply for TNEA.
• Students who’ve done HSC (Class 12th) from other states are also eligible to apply provided they produce a nativity certificate at the time of counseling.
• The candidates are accepted if they have passed the Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks or 40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories subject to vacancies in the First Year.
