“The Adoni College and Educational Society” was sponsored by The Rotary Club of Adoni in the year 1962.
It is the second oldest college in the Kurnool District. The college, affiliated with Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, was inaugurated in a temporary building, by the then Vice-Chancellor Sri S.Govindarajulu Naidu on June 27, 1962. The college started with P.U.C. and undergraduate courses. It all started with the strength of 175 students. It has increasingly grown to become one of the leading prestigious institutions of higher education in the Kurnool.B.Com district. and B.Sc.the courses started in the years 196465 and 196566 respectively.

Residential Accommodation
The hostel is on campus. There are 32 living rooms which can accommodate 5 students in each room, provided with a writing table, chair and a cupboard. There are sufficient toilets, bathrooms and washbasins with running water. There are two dining halls and a modern kitchen. There is a beautiful chapel alone on campus to meet the spiritual needs of the inmates
The Library
To meet the growing demand for books and to meet the academic needs of college students and staff, a new block of the Library was built in 1977 with the help of the U.G.C.The main objective of the library is to help students and staff to enrich their knowledge by providing them with the latest books. Each year, books recommended by the various departments are added, in addition to those recommended by the library committee. The latest books and newspapers are added to the treasure of the library which provides an opportunity for the teacher and the teacher to keep up to date with the latest trends. The open access system has increased the usefulness of the library to the optimum level.
Computer Lab
The requirement of the day is computer Education. Our computer lab has 49 systems and provides knowledge and experience to our students all the time. The lab is open even after college hours providing opportunities for interested learners to practice and become masters in computer operations. Students utilise the Internet facility to download and prepare for their teaching practicals and use the Net for Powerpoint preparation.
Canteen
This place is very comfortable for all the students to relax for a while. Not only delicious snacks are available here, but also stationary and other personal items.
Sports
The college is proud of its sprawling 18-acre playground. Many intercollegiate sports and games were also held in the college courtyard. Regular practice of various sports and games is a constant feature here. N.C.C.Cadets also use college grounds for parades and drills. N.C.C.The day is also celebrated in the college park. The raising of the flag and ceremonial parades take place on the occasion of the Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations. The college courtyard is also used as a helipad when State and Union dignitaries such as the Prime Minister, Prime Minister and others visit Adoni. Many gigantic public gatherings have taken place in the park.
The Adoni Arts and Science College accept admission through various entrance exams like Common Entrance Exam.
