The nearest Railway Station is Mandar Hill (Bounsi) Station. The railway line from Bhagalpur-Bounsi is already planned to connect Rampurhat, which is linked with Howrah and Guwahati. The nearby airports are at Ranchi, Gaya, Patna and Kolkata.

Banka is very close to the sources of raw materials needed for heavy industries. Its proximity to Jharkhand (bordering Deoghar, Dumka and Godda) and Non-perennial River like Chandan makes it a very strong contender for coal-based power plant investment and other heavy industry. Jas Infrastructure Capital (a company of Abhijeet Group) is setting up a 2640 MW (4×660MW) coal-based power unit at Bounsi Block. This project spreads over 1,573 acres of land and will be implemented in two phases, phase-I with 2× 660 MW capacity.

The Institute is having world-class infrastructure facilities and is equipped with modern Laboratories, Central Library, Computer Center, Yoga and Meditation Centre as well as a Gymnasium. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled and the teaching is assisted by projectors, animations/graphics under the guidance and supervision of qualified faculties. The Computer Laboratory is equipped with the latest machines and software to support educational activities. Simultaneously, the Library is also enriched with national and international publications with e-journals for the students to enhance their learning experiences.
Provision of separate hostels for the boys and girls are there inside the campus. The students are to abide by the rules and regulations of the hostels and to maintain strict discipline as well as the study hours.
Medical Facilities:The Institute is having a Health Care Centre comprising of well-experienced Physicians and Pharmacists inside the campus to provide medical facilities for the inmates. It owns an ambulance to serve around the clock. Health care awareness programs are conducted in regular intervals for practicing healthy life among the students.
Campus Recreation:The Institute offers a wide variety of programs and activities for enhancing lifelong skills among the students. Such programs encourage the students to get involved in recreational activities both on and off the campus for experiencing successful, rewarding and enjoyable college life. Different hobby clubs are to conduct various events to enhance the skills and personality of the students by providing interpersonal interactions among themselves and with the outsiders. Campus Recreation enriches the quality of student life by offering several recreational activities, programs and events.
Admission is based on an entrance exam conducted by the University.
The Training and Placement Cell facilitates the process of placement of students passing out from the Institute besides collaborating with leading organizations and institutes in setting up of internship and training programs for the students.
The Cell is liaised with various industrial establishments, corporate houses etc. which will conduct campus interviews and select students from all the disciplines. This provides infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests and interviews besides catering to other logistics.
The Training and Placement Cell of A.M.I.T. is an integral part of shaping the future career of students. It will organize and coordinate campus placement programs to fulfil its commitment to providing employment opportunities to each and every aspirant. The institute ensures that every student undergoes compulsory vocational training and summer internships at the best research institutes and reputed technical organizations in the country. As a result of this, the students will get acquainted with the various technological advancements taking place worldwide.
