A. G. Patil Institute of Technology, Solapur (AGPIT) started in the academic year 2008-09. AGPIT is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere. The AGPIT has spread over a picturesque, sprawling land of 10 acres on Vijapur Road, Solapur. AGPIT provides excellent engineering education and creates globally competent technocrats.

The computer center makes use of a wide range of computer facilities. The library is located in a spacious building independently having 3 Reading Halls, 2Stack Rooms, Reprographics Rooms, and Periodical Section. The Total collections of the library lead to 19608 which include textbooks and reference books. At present 50 technical journals (including 3 foreign), besides almost all the important magazines and newspapers, and subscribed to cater to the requirements of both students and staff. The book bank scheme is of great value for those students belonging to the weaker sections of society.

All the Laboratories are well equipped with the best equipment to effectively carry out all the experiments prescribed in the curriculum as well as extra experiments suggested by the faculty for a better understanding of the subject.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The institute believes that adequate facilities should be provided for the development of both the brain and body. Excellent facilities are provided in terms of spacious playgrounds and other amenities for different sports and games. To keep the students physically and mentally fit, a separate Gymkhana hall has been built within the campus for all indoor games.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

Training and Placement Cell functions under the supervision of a full-time placement officer and operates all around the year to arrange training and campus interviews by various reputed companies. It plays a crucial role in counseling and guiding the students for their successful placement. Training and Placement Cell functions with the main objective of shaping engineering students to be readily deployable in industry.
