The entrance test (Online LET) conducted by AIL under AWES will determine admission to 75 seats for wards of army personnel and 05 seats in the All India Category. Candidates from both the Army and All India Categories will undergo counseling based on merit from the written exam. Admission is subject to eligibility verification on the day of counseling. Additionally, admission to 20 seats in the Punjab Category will rely on 10+2 merit lists outlined by the nominated university, following the government's Punjab notification.
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from the Punjab School Education Board or any equivalent recognized by Punjabi University, Patiala, securing a minimum of 45% marks as per the guidelines in Punjabi University Letter No. 216468/Meeting-4 dated 7 May 2004. Individuals acquiring 10+2 through open university systems without meeting basic qualifications are ineligible for Law Course admission.
(a) Applicants appearing for the March/April 2018 qualifying exams can provisionally take the Entrance Test - 2018, pending passing the 10+2 March/April Exams 2018 with the required marks.
(b) Candidates passing compartment papers subsequently in the 10+2 qualifying exam won't be eligible for admission, even if seats are available.
(c) Candidates from non-notified Board/University degrees equivalent to Punjabi University must produce an eligibility certificate from Punjabi University, Patiala, at the interview to be considered.
(d) Candidates with delayed result declarations should ensure their Board of Examination forwards a confidential result directly to the Principal, Army Institute of Law, Mohali, Punjab. Delayed results render candidates ineligible for admission.
As per the Punjabi University, Patiala's notification, admission to the LLM course for the 2021-22 session will consider marks from the qualifying exams of BA LLB (5 years) or LLB (3 years). For specific details, refer to the AIL website (www.ail.ac.in) and the University website.
Per Punjabi University norms, a minimum of 55% marks in BA LLB (5 years) or LLB (3 years) is required for admission to the LLM course.
