The college was established in 1998. AKGEC is located in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and is a premier private engineering college. AKGEC offers B.Tech courses in nine engineering disciplines, including Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Computer. AKGEC has a reputation as one of the best UPTU engineering colleges. The college is spread over 40 acres and is committed to providing quality education to its students.

Labs:

The Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College has full-furnished laboratories for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College sports facilities are aimed at the holistic development of the students. The college pays equal attention to physical as well as mental development. It has organized INTER DEPARTMENTAL SPORTS EVENTS, which took place for two months and saw enthusiastic participation of more than 1500 students in 24 different sports. The college has a well-equipped gymnasium, swimming pool, and tennis courts. In addition to sports, the college has a faith center, which was built to provide a spiritually evocative space for the students.

Admission 

The Institute offers B. Tech, M. Tech, and MCA programs at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. Selection to B. Tech and MCA programs will be based on marks secured by the candidate in Combined State Entrance Examination, UPSEE organized by  UP State Technical University, AKTU, Lucknow.

Scholarships:

AKGEC scholarship application is available for UG and PG courses Students applying for Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College Scholarship should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline.  They should have scored at least 50% in the qualifying examination. People belonging to reserved categories and students with disabilities must have 45% marks. They must have passed the 10+2 examination, the entrance exam, and the interviews conducted by the college.

The Training and Placement Unit is committed to fulfilling the dreams of everyone who graduates from the A.K.G. Engineering College. The objective of the placement cell is to place students in good companies. This is achieved through campus selections conducted in the college for which the students are trained in aptitude, technical and soft skills. The Cell believes in the overall development of the student’s personality, which will help them to achieve a rewarding career. 95% of students were placed. The highest package was Rs 40 LPA (off-campus), whereas the lowest package offered was Rs 3 LPA. Companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, HCL, etc. have visited for placements.
