Facilities and Infrastructure

Class Rooms are equipped with the most modern and comfortable furniture, the space is ample and the design helps the students to study and concentrate with great joy and fun. The maximum strength of any class at Akido is 60 and thus in turn helps the teacher focus on the problem of the students individually. The teaching is done through books as well as through presentations. The interactive board facilities, as well as projectors, are available for conceptual studies.

The Library at Akido has a collection of over 5000 books, with journals both of national and international reputes. Multimedia facilities are also available which help the students to collect more precise information apart from whatever is part of the textbook. The Library can accommodate more than 200 students at a time and gives a peaceful atmosphere to the students for self-study.

The campus has an OAT that can accommodate more than 500 students at a time and serves best for any student gathering, department functions, seminars, presentations, and performances. Under the OAT we have an artistically located Cafeteria which serves both day scholars in the afternoon as well as hostel students.

Placements

Akido has a dedicated Corporate Resource Cell. It offers personalized counseling, communication training, resume building, and mock interviews. Our main emphasis is to provide a student with adequate opportunities to choose a job in his area of specialization. Pre-placement talks by industry professionals as well as psychological tests and counseling by trained psychologists are also conducted to enhance the caliber of students. The students at Akido, according to the university curriculum are supposed to undergo a mandatory 6 weeks of voluntary Industrial Training at the end of the 2nd year. Every year at Akido immense efforts are put in the direction so that the students get an early opportunity to get linked with the Industry and also it helps them to get placed in the long run. At the end of 3rd year and 4th years, the students can participate in both on-campus and off-campus placements.
