The All India Institute of Speech and Hearing [AIISH] is an autonomous institute that is fully funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. AIISH was established in the year 1966 and aims to conduct research, impart professional training and also educate the public on issues relating to communication disorders like fluency, hearing impairment, and phonological and language disorders.

AIISH has a state of Art infrastructure in the flourishing city of Mysore. The college has a campus sprawling in 32 acres of land. The institute is very well equipped with all the facilities that are required for its students and the patients visiting the campus for treatment and follow-up purposes. One of the major facilities is a library extending over 24,000 sq ft with a computerized section. There are separate hostel facilities for men and women, with double bedrooms. A residential facility called Kutir is for patients who seek therapy in the institute. The institute provides courses such as Hearing Aid & Earmould Technology, apart from audiology

Hostel Details: Separate hostel for boys and girls which is compulsory for outstation students and students will have to abide by the hostel rules and regulations. The hostel has a modern mess offering best of the feeding facility to the students.

Scholarship

The All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) offers many scholarships for various types of programs. Some of the scholarships offered by the institute are mentioned below:

Scholarship for Undergraduate Program: Students qualifying for the entrance examination for Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology will be given INR 800 per month for 10 months in the first 3 years. However, for the 4th year, the stipend will depend on their placement in the various regions of the country. If the student gets placed in any North-Eastern State, the stipend would be INR 6,000 per month and for other states, the stipend would be INR 5,000 per month. Students of Special Education in Hearing Impairment will be given a stipend of INR 400 per month for 10 months.

The college provides admissions for all the courses offered at AIISH. Interested candidates must hold excellent scores to be eligible for India Institute of Speech and Hearing admissions.
