The College was established in 1994 in the memory of Amardeep Singh Shergill, an illustrious student of the London School of Economics who passed away in the prime of his youth. The college has Chemistry, Botany, Home Science, Child Care, Music, Physics, Dress Designing, labs, and smart classrooms. There's separate computer science and that i.T Block, which has six states of art Computer Labs equipped with 150 computers and internet connectivity of 25 Mbps(1:1) through a communication system. Equipped with modern teaching aid the department of commerce and business management disseminates essential skills of entrepreneurship through academic and professional courses.
Sports Facilities:
Sports facilities include a track of 4 hundred meters, and playfields for Football, Hockey, Volleyball, and Handball. the newest induction in the sports facilities is wrestling coaching which is provided free from cost to college students in addition to nonstudents.
Seminar hall:
A seminar hall with a seating capacity of 170 has the proper academic ambiance for the extension lectures by scholars and renowned academicians.

Canteen:
The college canteen offers the much-needed respite to the students and serves a variety of snacks and drinks which are moderately priced. There is a separate arrangement for members of the staff, boys and girls students. Due care is taken to take care of cleanliness and a healthy environment.
With a view to helping the economically weak and meritorious students, the college provides many scholarships, free ships, and prizes. They include Academic, Sports, and Cultural scholarships. There could be a provision of free education to physically challenged students. The financial assistance shall be provided to deserving and eligible students as per College/University/Government rules; the same shall be displayed on the board of the college. people who wish to avail of this facility shall apply in time as per the notice displayed.

Fee concession to the wards of university employees shall tend as per ordinances of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Various other scholarships are given to our students with the help of our NRI/ Indian donors and NGOs.
