The College was established in 1994 in memory of Amardeep Singh Shergill, an illustrious student of the London School of Economics who passed away in the prime of his youth. He was the only son of late Sdrn. Surinder Kaur and S. Gurcharan Singh Shergill, an NRI from England. Instead of getting subdued in grief, the parents decided to serve the noble cause of spreading the light of knowledge amongst rural youth with the help of NRI associates.

TRANSPORTATION

As a part of women's emancipation, it is necessary to make education accessible to girls belonging to remote areas. The college owns a caravan of eight buses by which girls from more than two hundred villages daily reach the college campus. The college buses are available to students when educational tours are arranged. The college owns an automobile workshop in which adroit mechanics take care of the repair and maintenance of the buses.

A seminar hall with a seating capacity of 170 has the right academic ambiance for the extension lectures by scholars and renowned academicians.

It is also being used as Audio Visual lab.

Multimedia and projector facilities are available.

The sound system is permanently installed.
