Established in 2003, the Amrita School of Arts & Sciences on the Amritapuri campus has rapidly gained notoriety and prestige since its inception. The school grew out of Chancellor Amma's educational vision. Amma's proposal was to prepare a generation that can successfully meet the rigorous demands of the information age while imbued with the lofty ideals of selfless service and love. Amma's vision continues to inform the school's mission and vision.

Amrita School of Arts & Sciences offers various courses at Undergraduate and postgraduate levels in multiple streams Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Bachelor Of Commerce (B.Com.) Taxation And Finance, Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration), Bachelor of Science Honours (B.Sc. Hons.) Mathematics, Bachelor of Science Honours (B.Sc. Hons.) Computer Science, and Master of Commerce (M.Com) Finance and Taxation, Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Science (M.Sc.) Chemistry.

Hostels: 

The hostels on campus accommodate over 90% of the student population. Students have a rare opportunity to experience Amma's presence in their midst. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. All students, except those living with their parents within a 30 km radius, are welcome in dormitories. Students cannot live alone or in groups in rented houses or cottages. Strict discipline is maintained in all hostels to ensure student safety. A resident supervisor in each residence ensures that all student needs are met. The dining rooms serve perfectly balanced vegetarian dishes that will delight the palate. Smoking and other intoxicants are strictly prohibited on campus. The refuges offer a healthy environment and are equipped with the main services. The right atmosphere is provided for intellectual stimulation and sustainable development. 

Sports: 

Sports offer students a great opportunity to learn good sports interaction and skills. The Department of Physical Education coordinates sports and games for all schools on campus. There are regular internal competitions, annual sports meetings, and inter-campus tournaments in table tennis, badminton (transfers), volleyball, soccer, etc. 

Canteen: 

The canteen offers tasty and quality vegetarian cuisine, prepared under hygienic conditions, guaranteeing a complete and balanced diet. Students and staff can enjoy North and South Indian delicacies. The canteen is open every day except public holidays from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There is also hot water in the canteen.
