With the guidance of our beloved Chancellor Amma, the first Amrita School of Engineering was started in 1994 in Coimbatore. In 2002, two additional Schools of Engineering were established in Amritapuri and Bengaluru. All three Schools offer B.Tech., M.Tech., BCA, MCA, and Ph.D. programs in a large number of disciplines. Outstanding students aspiring for careers in engineering, from across the country and abroad are enrolled in the three Schools. ASE has an excellent faculty-student ratio which is well above the national norms.

Infrastructure and Facilities:

Library

The College is home to a central library as well as a reading room with seating for 200 students. This Library can be fully controlled thanks to LIBSOFT which is a built-in Library Management Software as well as gives access to a variety of books.

Computing Facilities

The College is home to 593 computers that have all the necessary software on them.

Sports Facilities

The College offers a sports club dubbed "Chetna" and engages in various physical activities and sports. The college also has a state-of-the-art gymnasium equipped with Treadmills and an Elliptical Cross Trainer. upright bikes, and multi-stationed machines, which are separate for girls and boys. Outdoor and indoor sports facilities are also available.

Hostels

There are six hostels on the campus, including two each for females and 4 for males. The hostel blocks are managed by a resident warden along with an Assistant Warden.

Clinic

A clinic is available within the campus, with a doctor and nurse. The clinic facility is available to the villages in the area as well.

Cafeteria

Hygienic vegetarian food is provided by Amrita Cafeteria on a payable basis. North Indian dishes and 'chats are also available on the menu.

Admission

Acceptance for admission to UG degree B.Tech is offered upon the basis of the candidate's success in the national entrance examinations JEE Mains, and AEEE that is administered within the Institute itself. The admission process for PG programs like M.Tech and doctoral programs Ph.D. is also based on the entrance. M.Tech admissions are granted by the candidates' scores in the GATE entrance exam while admissions to the Ph.D. program are based on the entrance test and an interview that is conducted by the institute. Candidates who have scores that are valid in other tests like UGC-NET are not required to take entrance tests.

Scholarships

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham M. Tech. Scholarship: INR 25000 per semester, GATE Scholarship (all programs) during M.Tech program Rs. 12,.400 monthly. For students who are not GATE-qualified, the endowment scholarship and merit-based awards can be up to INR 1 lakh.

Amrita University Ph.D. Scholarship: up to INR 25000 per month Stipend.Visvesvaraya Scholarship: Up to INR 43000 per calendar month, stipend.Industry-sponsored Scholarships Stipends can vary, as high as INR 80000 per calendar month

Placements

It has a dedicated department for internships. It provides students with the opportunity to work in winter and summer. receiving more and more businesses to recruit students and preparing them ahead of time with a variety of skills. Nearly 250 companies attend the college every year, resulting in a close to 96% success rate in placements for the year 2019. The average salary is INR 6 lakhs annually, and the most lucrative salary to students was INR 44 Lakhs per year.
