AVVM, Mysore Admission
Admission is based on an entrance exam(Amrita Entrance Examination) conducted by the University.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Trust has five institutes, one of which is Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysore. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University is associated with it.
- It provides UG-level courses in B.Com, BCA, B.Sc., BBM, and B.Ed. It also provides a five-year integrated program that combines B.Sc. and M.Sc. with BCA and MCA. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Mysore also offers MCA, M.Sc., M.Com, M.Sc., MJMC, and MFA courses as part of its postgraduate program. Additionally, it offers admission for lateral entrance into the MCA program.
- The prerequisite for admission to B.Com, BCA, B.Sc., and BBM programs is passing the PUC or HSC exam with at least 50% of the possible points.
- A minimum of 50% in the final exam under the 10+2+3 system is required for admission to the B.Ed. program.
- Merit in the most recent qualifying test is the basis for admission to the UG program.
- Applications for MCA, M.Sc., M.Com, M.Sc., MJMC, and MFA programs are accepted from candidates holding a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with at least 50% of the required points.
- Applicants for admission to the MCA program must have finished their bachelor's degree with at least 60% of the required credits, with mathematics and statistics being one of the required topics.
- Candidates for MCA (lateral entry) must have completed a BCA or B.Sc. in IT/CS from an accredited university.
- Admission to MCA, M.Sc., M.Com, M.Sc., MJMC, and MFA programs is determined by the university through an entrance exam and in-person interview.
