ACEM is managed by Anand Educational Trust. Anand educational trust was established by Anand Family in the everlasting memory of the Late Sh. Ashi Anand. The main aim of ACEM is to provide value-based and affordable education (engineering & technology) to students by enhancing their interfacing with society in general and Industry in particular. A passion for academic excellence rather than financial profitability has been the priority of the Anand Group.
Anand College of Engineering and Management since its establishment in 2010, has strived to provide the best engineering education to its students through well-qualified and dedicated faculty and the provision of well-equipped modern labs.
The college is affiliated with Punjab Technical University and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The vision of the college is to continuously excel and thus coming together enlivens the research themes, creates awareness about upcoming technologies and provides a platform for budding research workers for achieving their rightful place in the scientific community.
Anand College Of Engineering And Management is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and affiliated with Punjab Technical University.
Punjab Technical University courses are offered at various levels like Diploma Degrees i.e. Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering etc., and Undergraduate Degrees i.e. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) Civil Environmental Engineering, Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science Engineering and many more. Residential Accommodations:The lush green campus of Anand College of Engineering and Management provides a homely environment to students in its hostels. Hostels for boys & girls with all amenities have been provided by the college. Both the hostels have spacious rooms & Mess halls. Separate facilities for studying is provided in both hostels. To maintain security and a peaceful environment each hostel has 24-hour availability of an assistant warden and security guards. Hostels are provided with 24-hour Wi-Fi internet connectivity.
The hostel common rooms provide necessary facilities such as television, newspapers, magazines and indoor and outdoor games Special emphasis is given to making the hostels ragging free. Involvement in ragging is a punishable offence.
The mess of the hostels is being run on a cooperative basis and dining halls are equipped with water coolers along with water purifiers and fly/insect killers. All the efforts are made to make the hostels a home away from home.
Library:The college has a library which has 6000 books related to the topics of engineering and technology. The library also subscribes to 50 national and international journals. It has a DELNET facility.
Labs:As B. Tech courses are laboratory intensive, a major thrust is given to developing laboratories with top-of-the-line machines. We have well-equipped Applied Science Labs and Departmental Specialized Labs. Moreover, existing laboratories are regularly updated to meet the course contents and research needs.
Today Anand College Of Engineering And Management has the finest Quality equipment to meet the total requirement of the students, faculty, and research scholars and of the industry. Spacious full-fledged labs are functioning under the various departments.
Seminar Hall:Seminar Hall in Anand College of Engineering & Management is fully equipped with.
• Air-Conditioned• All of these are used not only by the professors and the students of the Campus but also by the external persons that come to give motivation lectures/academic presentations in our college.
Classroom:A Classroom is a set of knowledge in an educational institute and therefore it is mandatory for it to possess an atmosphere which may instill positive thinking in a student.
Anand College Of Engineering And Management are proud to provide our students with such kind of healthy environment in the classrooms that are spacious, airy, well equipped with latest gadgets like, LCD projectors, white/black boards that kindle a desire to learn more.A classroom reflects the aim and objective of an institute which is to impart knowledge, more knowledge and knowledge made perfect.
Medical Facilities:The college campus has a well-equipped Medical center to provide first aid and prompt medical care. First Aid facility is available in college and buses as well. Salient features in this regard are:
• 24 X 7 Medical Care• To deal with emergency cases, college transport is available round the clock to carry the patients for treatment at surrounding hospitals
Transportation:ACEM owns a fleet of transport buses that pick and drop off students from different places. Transport facility is allotted on annual basis for students admitted for regular programme for the duration of the regular academic session. Transport facility is allotted on First Come First Serve basis. Routes and pick up points are indicative and are subject to change from time to time. Transport facility is provided till the end of the regular academic session including regular exams. Normally timings for the college Bus to arrive at the Campus will be 8:45 a.m. and departure at 4:30 p.m.
Sports Facilities:To achieve a healthier lifestyle while coping with the pressures of studying, one needs to be healthy both emotionally and physically. As a part of this process, ACEM emphasizes the importance of sports and considers them as an integral part of the curriculum. ACEM has a number of centres for physical education and sports activities that help the students to maintain fitness and develop a competitive spirit. It has numerous outdoor playgrounds and indoor courts.
ACEM students participate inter-college tournaments in various games. Our college students won three medals, one silver and two bronze medals in weight lifting, and bodybuilding games in IKG PTU intercollege tournament held at CGCLandrancampus, Mohali. Our college also organizes inter-branch tournaments in all games. ACEM also organize an annual Athletic meet in every year and all students participate with sports spirit.
Admission is based on an entrance exam conducted by the University.
The placement cell is the central department of Anand College of Engineering & Management. It is an intermediate between the corporate world and the college. MrsBarjinderKaur, Head of Training & Placement Cell provides the budding students guidance in their choice of career by creating access to employers and generating ample opportunities for placements. She does not leave any stone unturned to provide better career options to the students of the college.
Our vision is to establish ACEM as the premier Engineering institute in Punjab state by producing industry leaders rather than just engineering Graduates and ensure that our students experience a novel learning curve that prepares them to be real professionals.
