Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology & Sciences (ANITS), Visakhapatnam is part of Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) which is the most prestigious manufacturing and infrastructure companies in India with its headquarters in Hyderabad. The institute was established during the academic year 2001-2002 by the Anil Neerukonda Education Society (ANES) that was established with the help of the late Dr. N.B.R. Prasad who was an NRI Philanthropist in the USA together with industrialists as well as prominent educators in memory of late Anil Neerukonda S/O. Dr. N.B.R. Prasad.

Anits Central Library

The Central Library, ANITS is one of the most important libraries within the field of technology and engineering. The Central Library was founded in 2001. It is located in the western part of the block The central library is home to an area of over 12000 sq. ft. The Library is well-equipped with modems and other materials (print or electronic) in the form of Books 39714, Titles 8381, Journals 90, Project Reports- 677 Bound Volumes - 582 CDROMs, DVD-ROM 2666, previous questions papers, sc and the st Books Bank Books 698, as well as Eight Online Databases. The Library's operations are automated using the LIBSYS software program. Along with the library at central, each department is equipped with its own library departmental.

Transport

In order to ensure an easy and safe transportation system for the students and staff, ANITS is running a fleet of 20 AC buses (TATA and Ashok Leyland) from various locations of Visakhapatnam as well as one non-AC bus that is coming from Vizainagaram. The buses are based at various locations like Kothavalasa, Steel plant town ship, MVP colony, Seetammadhara, Dwarakanagar, Pendurthy junction, Simhachalam etc in the city and finish at the campus of the institute. They are filled up to the exact seating capacity of 55 for TATA buses as well as 46 Ashok Leyland buses only and no standing is permitted. There are also numerous APSRTC routes and city buses that connect to the Sangivalasa bus stop along the National Highway that is only 300 meters of the Institute.

Hostel

ANITS has hostels that accommodate girls and boys with excellent infrastructure facilities located on the campus of the college. In the Boys' hostel, it is able to be able to accommodate 500 guests and the Girls' Hostel, which has the capacity to accommodate 300 people. Air conditioning is available in both Hostels.

A huge playing field for Athletics and foot Ball, Judi Bola, Cricket, Togel SGP, track and field sports are provided that is a unique benefit to our athletes both men and women. Separate courts have been constructed specifically for Volley Ball, Shuttle Badminton, Ball badminton, and Throw ball.
