Annai Hajira College, Tirunelveli Tamil Nadu was established in the year 2004 as Pa rivate Educational Institute to provide higher education to build a career in the field of Humanities, Science, and Commerce. ‘Little drops of water make the Mighty Ocean’ goes the saying, we are indebted to many Philanthropists who have contributed generously to the welfare, growth, and construction of this College. It is a golden day in the History of Melapalayam when the Honourable Minister Mr. N.Nainar Nagendran inaugurated the College on 26-06-2004 and the new building on 03.07.2005. The occasion was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Minister Janab T.P.M. Mohideen Khan. We are extremely grateful to our former Central Minister Thiru. R.Dhanushkodi Adithyan M.A, B.L, M.P. for his kind gesture of sanctioning Rs. 25 lakhs for the Hostel building.

The Annai Hajira College functions of the Anti-Ragging Squad will be to keep a vigil and stop the incidences of Ragging, if any, happening/reported in the places of Student aggregation, Classrooms, Canteens, Buses, Grounds, Hostels, etc., They shall work in Consonance and Guidance of Anti Ragging Committee. Ragging is punishable with imprisonment for a term that may extend to two years, and shall also be liable to a fine which may extend to Rs.10,000 under section 4 of the Act. In India, ragging is banned on all campuses.

Placement at Annai Hajira College Tirunelveli

The Annai Hajira College Placement Cell started functioning with a very clear objective of ensuring a higher placement record and a better reach to the students of the college. To facilitate this objective, a ‘Placement Awareness Programme’ was conducted, under which, the Placement representatives visited each division of the Arts and Science classes to give a short presentation on the Placement Cell and its planned activities for the current year. This ensured that the students were well informed about the placement activities of the college and their part in it.
