Library:

The library-like all vibrant and productive organizations strive to keep pace with a global, dynamic, and technology-enabled information environment to meet the expectations of its users. Central Library during the year continued to march to its mission of facilitating the creation of new knowledge through the acquisition, organization, and dissemination of library materials. It offered a range of services including reference and consultation, membership and circulation, document delivery, resource sharing, information alert service, book bank for needy students, and user awareness programs. It extended the help and support to establish a library at the college. In the beginning, the college library was housed in one small room. The college received a grant from UGC for the construction of the present new building. The new building was designed and opened in 1991 to stack 100000 volumes and 100 readers at a time.

The name of the library was Late S.R.Tambe given in the year 1981-1982. The Late S.R.Tambe was a social leader in the Pune District. Late S.R.Tambe was born on 22 Sept.1928. A Great person in Otur lived a great life and was the Sarpanch of Otur for 18 years. Besides this, he was also a Chairman of Gram Vikas Mandal, Otur. He was elected as a member of Pune Zilla Parishad in 1962. He was also elected the first Chairman of Junnar Taluka Panchayat. In 1970; he was MLA of Junnar Taluka. The collection is comprised of subject areas from the faculty of arts, mental morals, Social science, Commerce, Education, Science, etc. The Collection has been systematically developed covering all branches of knowledge.

Staff room:

A separate staff room in every department with computers and Internet connectivity is provided. There are separate cabins for HODs with computer and internet facilities. There is a separate room for non-teaching staff.

Common room for students:

Common room for girls of 500 sq. ft. area.

Restrooms:

There are separate restrooms for male and female students on each floor of the building.

Vehicle parking:

Spacious parking is available for students and staff members.

Canteen:

The canteen caters to the various requirements of the staff and students. The canteen is conveniently located and provides a range of food items at affordable rates to students.

Seminar Hall:

Well-equipped seminar hall with Projectors and a public address system are available in the college.

Annasaheb Waghire College of Science, Arts & Commerce Admission

All the students seeking admission to F.Y. of all faculties are required to complete the eligibility formalities on or before the due date positively in the interest of confirming their admission. Those who fail to comply with this procedure for one reason or the other are to note that their admissions would automatically stand canceled for which the college authorities shall not be responsible whatsoever.

Students migrating from other universities/Boards either from the state of Maharashtra or from outside Maharashtra state will be admitted to the college on the Production of Eligibility certificate ( or a provisional admission certificate, pending issuing of the final Eligibility Certificate) from the University of Pune. For this purpose, the Students will have to apply to Pune University in the prescribed form of an Eligibility Certificate along with the following certificates in original (and a Xerox copy thereof)

1. Passing Certificate

2. Statement of Marks and

3. Migration certificate from previous University/Board &

i) Attendance Certificate

ii) Character certificate from the Principal of the previous college

iii) The Student has to pay the eligibility certification fees.

In all the cases the fees paid shall not be refunded ( Ref. P.U. Circular no.82 of 1978)

The responsibility of obtaining an Eligibility Certificate from Pune University lies with the students themselves.

The college will however provide necessary guidance.

N.B. The above rules of eligibility also apply to all students admitted to Post Graduate classes.

Placements cell at Annasaheb Waghire College of Science, Arts & Commerce

Annasaheb Waghire College of Science, Arts & Commerce Placement cell organizes on-campus and off-campus recruitments for needy and eligible final-year students of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students. For the preparation of the recruitment drive, Aptitude tests, Technical tests, Group Discussions, and mock interviews are organized by respective departments.

Vision

To inculcate a positive and sound attitude amongst students and inhabitants of this rural and hilly region towards pursuing higher education in various disciplines and to impart qualitative education to make them globally competitive.

Mission

The mission of the parent organization i.e. Pune District Education Association (the trust under the aegis of which this college is running) is "Bahujan Hitay Bahujan Sukhay" which translates to "Welfare and happiness for the masses".
