As a minority institution, Arul Anandar College caters primarily to the formation of Christian students. However, it keeps its portals open to all students without discrimination of caste creed, race, gender or class.

Arul Anandar College, Madurai is a private college that was established in the year 1970. The college has been accredited by NAAC with a Grade of ‘A’. Facilities and Infrastructure

Arul Anandar College library was established with a credit of 1500 books in 1970. The library functioned in the Britto Block with a carpet area of 1200 Sq.ft.In 1985 the library was shifted to the extended building of the science block and functioned there upto1995 in a 1730 Sqft area. As a tribute to the silver jubilee birthday party of the college, the library was given prolonged out its carpet into a brand new construction with a carpet vicinity of 11,040 Sq.toes which became inaugurated through Most. Rev. Fr. M. Arokiyasamy SJ., Arch Bishop, Madurai. Today the library holds to its credit 63000 printed books, e-books, 117 printed journals, e-journals, magazines and newspapers.

Sports:

Sports and games are included in the physical, mental, social and spiritual formation of the students through sports and games. In addition to the regular academic activities, the Department formulates and implements the programmes and builds up various teams like Football, Hockey, Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Athletic team etc. The teams participate in the M.K.U “C” Zonal M.K.U Champion Trophy tournaments and open tournaments such as Block, District, State and National level Tournaments and bring laurels to our institution.

Library:

Arul Anandar College library is an integral part of the efficient teaching and learning process at AAC and it is a resource centre catering to the ever-growing and superficial information and current requirements of the students, faculty members, and researchers. AAC Library is established to provide free access to printed materials and all other resources with the altruistic goal of educational enlightenment and for the welfare of our students. 

Hostel:

Arul Anandar College Boys Hostel had a very humble beginning with limited space and resources in 1970 along with the dreams and hopes of the college. It has been serving mainly rural students for 47 years. And today it has zoomed and boomed into this structure with the strength of 600 students from Madurai, Dindigul, Sivaganga, Ramnad, Viruthunagar, Kovilpatty, Srivalliputhur, Thirunelveli, Nagercoil, Salem and Chennai. From its rural setting, AAC aims to offer educational opportunities for the weaker sections of society‚ particularly the students who hail from a rural set-up.

Scholarship

All the BC/MBC/DNC students (studying UG and PG courses) are eligible for the BC scholarship. For BC students, the limit for the income of the parent is Rs 50,000/-. For MBC/DNC students there is no such income limit. Scholarship for the Children of School TeachersSchool teacher’s children with more than 60% marks and above in the Higher Secondary Examinations.Income of the Parents not exceeding Rs 1,00,000/- per year.Bright Students Award & Merit-cum-Means Award The SC/ST Converted Christian students who have scored the highest marks in the district level in the SSLC and Higher Secondary Examinations. 

Admission

Students willing to take admitted in any of these courses must fill out the online application form after they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria. AAC Madurai admissions to PG and doctoral programmes are done based on the scores obtained in the entrance exams and personal interviews.

Placement

The primary objective of the AAC Madurai Placement Cell is to provide employment opportunities and professional training to students to enhance their career prospects. The cell invites companies, institutions and organisations for campus recruitment. The Placement Cell prepares students to face interviews by arranging training programmes on areas such as aptitude tests, group discussion and technical and HR interviews.
