Arunachala College of Engineering for Women is a project of the Thottam Madhavan Educational and Charitable Trust was The First Engineering College exclusively for Women located in Kanyakumari District as of 2009. The trust engages in social and educational initiatives to meet the needs of the time. The trust began its journey at Arunachala School and continues its forward work with the Women's Engineering College.

This is the one college managed solely by Professionals and Academicians in Kanyakumari District. With this wealth of knowledge and experience Arunachala College of Engineering for Women set out on its mission to provide opportunities for the next generation of women to increase their knowledge and acquire the abilities for a lifetime of learning in the current technological world and to help them become women of the world.

Facilities and Infrastructure

Well-equipped and well-guarded women's hostel called 'Seetha Lakshmi Hostel and all the amenities are on offer on the campus. The hostel's buildings are modern in a style that combines the best of efficiency and safety. They also provide adequate air circulation and sun. The large dining hall inside the hostel serves nutritious, healthy food. Expertly-trained cooks prepare meals in an efficient, clean kitchen. the emphasis is given to serving delicious meals. A supply of Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian Food as well as 24 hrs.

Purified drinking water is available within the hostel. An uninterrupted power supply is available within the hostel.A mess committee comprised of students' representatives, takes care of the food menu at the hostel. Wardens, with maternal care, meet the requirements of the students. But strict discipline is observed within the hostel. The study time and the silence hour are strictly adhered to. Mobile phones are completely prohibited. Instead, the coin box, located in the hostel's office can be used by guests of the hostel. The residents of the hostel are able to go home with the proper permission of their parents. The hostel offers a home away from the home environment for our students.

Our library in the college has greater than 8500 volumes of books. every year, 1500 books are added. In addition, DEL Net E-Journal / E-Book service is offered within the library. This service allows users to access over 200 journals through mail as an element of the curriculum. The library houses a large and unending collection of reference material along with subscriptions to periodicals, dailies and journals with international and national fame. A separate library with all the facilities will be set up in the near future. An E-Learning facility is available within the Central Library.

Arunachala College Bus flies through all locations within Kanya Kumari District. Additionally, The college bus service runs beginning from Trivandrum towards the school through Balaramapuram, Neyyattinkara and Parassala. From the Tirunelveli district buses are accessible starting from Vellarada along with Poovar.

Our college has a nicely equipped cafeteria that serves tasty food and snacks for students to enjoy their lunch and snack time. The store on our campus has all the stationary supplies and other necessities for the hostel as well as the day-to-day scholar students.
