AEC, a co-educational institution, was founded in 1993. Located in a quiet wooded area on the Chittoor – Cuddalore national road, the college offers an ideal holistic environment for in-depth, disciplined learning away from the hustle and bustle of modern cities. The peaceful spiritual atmosphere of the AEC helps individuals to discover themselves and the contribution they can make to the world. 

Today the institution has grown enormously and includes several buildings with an academic area of 25,000 m2., 14,000 m² of hostels, 46,000 m² of facilities, and playgrounds covering an area of 20,500 m².m., the strength of so far 2492 undergraduate students. Transport Services: 

The college has enough buses available for students and faculty to travel from different points in the city and from different cities like Gingee, Dinidivanam, Vellore, Chengam, Mel Chengam, Villupuram, Arani, Tirukovilur, Avalurpettai, Polur, Moongilthuraipattu and to travel Mothakal, Vaippur to campus and back. All students must use university transport or stay in a dormitory. This facility enabled a rapid entry into courses, thus supporting the academic process.
