Ashoka International Centre for Educational Studies and Research is NAAC accredited with a B+ grade and offers B.Ed. course. It is affiliated with S.N.D.T. University, Mumbai, and is recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education (N.C.T.E.) and the Maharashtra Government. It prepares students for a degree of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). It is a private, permanently unaided minority college. The institute was established in 2008.

It has completed 12 years of service. It was started with the sole purpose of creating well-trained techno-savvy teachers who would be familiar with the latest methodology of teaching. Central Library is Established in 2008,  The library plays a vital role in the collection development, and dissemination of Teaching & Learning information to meet the present and future needs of the Students & Educators.

The library is open access & has, a specialized library consisting of 4760 printing documents of Educational Philosophies, psychology, New trends in Education, etc. The Library is equipped with encyclopedic collections, CDs, reference & textbooks, magazines & journals.

The library is computerized using library management software. It contains fully Computerized Records and Issues of books. The catalog of the library is available online through the OPAC.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. The institute has a spacious, air-conditioned, soundproof multipurpose hall with a dais that is equipped with all the adequate facilities. Admission is done based on the Central Entrance Examination conducted by the Govt. through MKCL.

Medium of instruction being English the candidates have to clear an additional test of 50 marks in English language.

After clearing the CET and English test the candidates are required to give preference for the colleges and accordingly, those who opt for AEF's AICESR are admitted through Government’s centralized admission procedure.
