Asutosh College is affiliated with the University of Calcutta, situated in Southern Kolkata, close to the Jatin Das Park Metro Station, gate No. 2. It was established in 1916 as the South Suburban College, under the stewardship of educationist Sir Ashutosh Mukherjee, who was the then vice-chancellor of the University of Calcutta. After the death of Sir Mukherjee, the college was renamed as Asutosh College in 1924. The principal of the college is Dr. Dipak Kumar Kar. It is affiliated with the University of Calcutta.

Admission

Admissions at Asutosh College are based on merits and entrance exam scores. For some courses, the college also conducts GD and PI rounds.

Fill out the application and pay the application fees through Credit card/ Debit card/Net Banking or Bank Challan at any branch of BOB.

Each student must have to submit the filled-in Calcutta University Registration Form available at the college office.

The registration form will be provided only after the payment of fees.

Submit the filled-in registration form along with the admission form in the college office to get the Roll No. with Fees Book and Identity Card.

Selected candidates need to print the Admission form and fee payment voucher from the college website, fill both and attach with it the necessary documents required.

Placement Cell

Asutosh college has a separate Placement Cell that organizes campus interviews to facilitate job proposals for final-year students. The placement cell provides employment opportunities to every willing student on completion of his/her academic curriculum. Asutosh College has links with various Reputed Indian and Multinational companies which visit the campus and select a large number of students for recruitment and place them as Program-Trainees, Process-Executives, and many more.
