Dr. V.S. Krishna Library has 60,000 sq. ft. (5574.18 sq. meters.) in Carpet area. Apart from the work and stock areas, each section also has seating as well as a reading area that allows the user to pick and reference the books in a comfortable way. The rooms are all spacious and well ventilated. In accordance with the requirements and comfort, there are various seating arrangement. Seating arrangements are comfortable for the user.
To allow to maximize interaction between participants, a group discussion room or seminar is available. Up to 500 people are seated within the library. The library is accessible every day of the year, including Sundays with the exception of holiday days and national holidays that are declared as holidays according to the University. The library operates on three shifts.
Health Centre
A.U. Health Centre formerly known as A.U. Dispensary was founded in 1933. The the first Senior Medical Officer being Dr. E.M. Sastry and then it was changed to become A.U. Health Centre in 1981 with the Senior Medical Officer as well as 3 Medical Officers. Its Health Centre is providing services 24/7 to the complete satisfaction of scholars, students as well as non-teaching and teaching members and their families.
The Health Centre has a senior medical officer, two Medical Officers and two Lady Medical Officers, and six Consultants who visit. A majority of students who are enrolled within the A.U. Campus make use of the Hospital's services at any time all hours of the day. There is also a special Homoeopathy Clinic attached to Health Centre located in the University.
